The resort is well set up to be self contained but very close by taxi to Cairns. The swimming pools were great, plenty of variety and the food at the restaurants was fresh and delicious. It is very close to the airport and you can walk to a local supermarket.
The rooms were a good size, the cooking facilities were excellent and a washing machine/dryer in the unit was a bonus. We weren't in a delux room but it was still very nice. The grounds were very well maintained and the staff were both helpful and friendly.
Overall a great holiday and we would go again.
Cairns is not a large city but has an interesting shopping centre with both a large mall and a number of boutique shops. Lots of great places to eat.
Nice and warm in the middle of winter and the nights were still pleasant and hardly cold at all.
