Excellent location with restaurants on the pier below. We stayed in a waterfront veiw apartment which was very relaxing as we watched the boats and catamaran movements at the marina. The boat trips to the reef depart just next to the hotel, so quite handy if you decide on a boat trip. Rooms were comfortable, spotless and well equipped and the staff were most helpful. The swimming pool is well placed with a nice veiw of the city etc.
Enjoyed the markets and esplanade. The Green Island trip and Kuranda rail tour were amazing and very worthwhile. The Casino is also worth a visit and has a restaurant/cafe with very reasonable prices. (i. Seafood basket . 00, steak chips & salad . 00)
