As I said the facilities are spectacular for family travel. Very clean. Very convenient to all of Cairns. However, we did have difficulty using the phone so we could not communicate the problem with the phone to facility management. This also prohibited us from connecting to the internet to tell our friends what a nice place we were staying at. We could not get a dial tone or complete a call.
We had breakfast on the veranda each morning and watched the sun rise and ships moving about in the harbor.
Rent a bike and ride along the esplanade. Very nice. We rode to the Botanical Gardens and back to the bike shop in about 3. 5 hrs.
